Our team the Proteas, once more took to the field, in order to continue with the tournament. We were to tourney against the island Kingdom of St. George. They carried the banners of the Red Cross on purest white.
This time it was with much pride at stake, as it was against the Kingdom who had once ruled our fair land. There was no doubt that they generally thought of us as inferior to them in many ways.
Still it had to be noted, that inferior they may brand us,but, their own Lead Knight, hails from our Kingdom. It would appear that none from their own Kingdom was of sufficient skill to fill the post. Of a certainty it was felt by many of our citizens that he was a traitor, and as such should be punished.
Later in the day, after all our Knights had been defeated, our Lead Knight, Sir Graham, stood alone, badly wounded in the leg. Our team had to concede defeat. It rankled deeply that the Knights of St. George were most unchivalrous in refusing to allow another Knight to take the place of our injured Sir Graham.
Sir Trevor and Lady Cheryl retired to bed, dismayed that our heroic team had been vanquished and would take no more part in the tournament.
