He set out once more on his trusted steed, Beamer, whose reputation of being sure of foot, was certainly the envy of many another Knight, whose steed had broken down, on the long and arduous trails.
Later in the day, Sir Trevor attended a banquet given by one of the Lords of the Privy Purse. Even though he was weary, and would most definitely have preferred to return to his Lady's arms, it was deemed to be good court protocol to make an appearence.
This was a lesson learned long since. Better to currie favour than to spurn a benefactor.
