There had been a surprise visit from the page Barry, yestereve. He had come bearing a gift for Lady Cheryl, from Sir Trevor.
It was a present for her birthday, but our Knight knowing full well the impetuosity of his Lady, deemed it prudent to give it to her well before the time.
He knew our Lady was enthralled by the box with moving pictures, so he had scoured the land for the best there was, but even he was astonished by this one which was portable.
A look of love and benevolence crossed his countenance as watched Lady Cheryl dancing and clapping her hands like a child in pure glee.
He also realised that there would be no retiring to an early bed that night.
